One Direction

One Direction adalah groupband yang berasal Inggris-Irlandia yang terbentuk di London pada tahun 2010, yang beranggotakan 5 pria, yaitu Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne dan Louis Tomlinson. Karena dia tahun lalu juga mengalami ke gagalan yang sama, bedanya tahun 2009 lalu Liam tidak lolos karena umurnya yang terlalu muda. dan lahir lah One Direction tanggal 22 July 2010, bersamaan dengan Amie Belle girl band dari X-Factor juga.

One Direction akhirnya menjadi juara ketiga di The X-Factor, dibawah Rebecca Ferguson, yang menjadi juara kedua dan Matt Cardle yang menjadi juara satu, namun siapa sangka popularitas One Direction setelah mengikuti kompetisi tersebut meningkat ke Seantero-Inggris.

Lalu One Direction mengeluarkan album pertamanya yang berjudul Up All Night, single pertama mereka yang berjudul 'What Makes You Beautiful' dirilis bulkan September 2011, berhasil mencapai puncak pertama di UK Single Chart dan dinobatkan sebagai single yang paling banyak direquest sepanjang masa oleh Sony Music Entertainment. Dalam suatu acara pada Maret 2012, One Direction yang mengunjungi Manhattan di Amerika menimbulkan kerumunan penggemar yang sangat banyak. Kepopuleran One Direction memicu kebangkitan boy band Eropa dan menimbulkan fenomena Invasi Britania yang baru di Amerika.

Album Up All Night di Amerika baru dirilis paa Maret 2012 dan langsung menduduki posisi pertama di Billboard 200.

Renungan

DIA mati untukmu

 

Setelah sebuah pujian dinaikkan seperti biasanya pada kebaktian minggu sore, gembala gereja itu berdiri dan berjalan ke mimbar. Ia memperkenalkan seseorang yang akan bercerita kepada jemaat tentang masa kecilnya. Lalu seseorang yang agak tua berdiri dan berjalan ke mimbar. Ia memulai dengan berkata,"Seorang ayah, anaknya dan teman anak itu berlayar di lautan pasifik,"lanjutnya,"saat badai yang besar menghantam dan ombak begitu tinggi, sang ayah tidak dapat menahan kapalnya dari badai besar itu, walaupun ia adalah seorang pelaut yang handal. Ketiganya terhempas ke lautan bebas."

Orang tua itu terdiam sejenak, sambil membuat kontak mata dengan dua orang pemuda yang sejak awal tampak tertarik dengan ceritanya. Dia pun melanjutkan,"sang ayah berusaha menggapai pelampung, namun ia harus membuat keputusan yang tersulit dalam hidupnya. Kepada siapa ia harus melemparkan satu-satunya pelampung itu. Anaknya atau teman anaknya. Dia hanya punya beberapa detik saja untuk memutuskan."

"ayah itu tahu kalau anaknya adalah seorang percaya, namun teman anaknya bukanlah seorang Kristen. Kegalauan gejolak hatinya untuk mengambil keputusan tidak sebanding dengan gejolak ombak yang begitu besarnya saat itu. Dan ketika sang ayah berteriak,"Aku mengasihimu, anakku!" dia pun melemparkan pelampung itu ke arah teman anaknya. Pada saat itu dia menarik pelampung dan teman anaknya ke atas perahu, anaknya telah hilang dan lenyap ditelan ombak dalam gelapnya malam. Dan tubuh anaknya tidak pernah ditemukan.

"si ayah mengetahui kalau anaknya akan masuk ke dalam kekekalan bersama Yesus dan ia tidak dapat membayangkan teman anaknya itu masuk ke dalam kekekalan tanpa Yesus. Karena itu, dia mengorbankan anaknya. Oh, betapa luar biasanya kasih Tuhan karena Ia juga melakukan hal yang sama untuk kita!"

Beberapa menit setelah kebaktian usai, dua anak muda itu menghampiri orang tua itu. "itu merupakan cerita yang sungguh luar biasa,"kata salah satu anak itu,"tetapi kupikir, sangat tidak masuk akal bagi seorang ayah untuk menyerahkan hidup anaknya dengan harapan bahwa anak yang satunya akan menjadi seorang kristen. "orang tua itu menatap alkitabnya, lalu menjawab dengan senyuman di wajahnya,"hal itu memang sungguh tidak masuk akal bukan? Tapi saya ada disini hari ini untuk memberitahukan bahwa kenyataannya cerita itu memberi saya sebuah gambaran mengenai Tuhan yang telah memberikan anakNya untukku.

Kalian tahu, anak-anak aku adalah teman dari anaknya."camkan hal ini, kamu bisa hidup, karena ada seseorang yang sudah mati buatmu 2000 tahun yang lalu. Kebebasanmu itu berharga mahal.

Renungan

It's in moments like these that Satan feeds us a devilish excuse, "No one will ever know."

You may not be standing in front of the refrigerator. You may be at work, or filling out your income tax form, or some place your family wouldn't want you to be. But you go ahead and do something questionable because it's easy to get caught up in the false belief that 'no one will ever know.'

The truth is, God already knows!

The Bible says nothing in creation is hidden from God (Psalms 147:5), and that God knows everything about you (Psalm 139). This means there's no question God can't answer and no problem that confuses Him. He's never surprised and he's never shocked. He never says, "Oh, really!?" God knows everything. Theologians call this the omniscience of God.
